<why/>
Treating content as code β structured authoring β keeps your text, data, and metadata in well-defined XML elements instead of word-processor documents. Because every element is addressable by XPath and transformable by XSLT, an AI agent working alongside XGR XML Lab can generate SVG graphics, LaTeX equations, prose sections, and complete XSL stylesheets directly in the XML source β publishing to PDF, HTML, or EPUB3 without manual reformatting.

About XGR XML Lab
XGR XML Lab is a Windows desktop application for XML editing, XSLT transformation, and document publishing. It combines a full-featured XML editor with three dedicated transformation engines: a general-purpose XSLT 1.0/2.0 processor powered by Saxon, a Book1 pipeline for straightforward XSL-FO PDF output via Apache FOP, and a Book2 pipeline with a built-in LaTeX math engine for typesetting equations directly from XML source.
Authors and researchers can produce PDF, HTML, Excel, and EPUB output from a single XML source file. The editor supports XPath evaluation, XSD schema validation, XInclude for multi-file projects, spell checking, and real-time syntax highlighting. It is well suited for technical documentation, academic publishing, scientific reports, book production, CV/rΓ©sumΓ© generation, and data-driven document automation.
Supported standards include XSLT 1.0, XSLT 2.0, XPath 1.0/2.0, XSL-FO, XSD, XInclude, DocBook, DITA, and LaTeX/AMS-Math notation for mathematical equations. The XSLT engine is Saxon-HE 9.9; the PDF renderer is Apache FOP 2.9.
